I just read this entry I posted some minutes ago. It's about a white and a black men, whose lifestyles are completely different, and who have to leave with each other's one.
What can we say about the different points of view presented in this text? Can we explain the miscommunication?
Well, cultural, social and economical factors determine the way they see each other. One is the point of view of the "rich" one, the white one. He has it all, and doesn't understand why the black guy is always trying to bother him with his work. On the other side, the black man, thinks that with his hard work he can improve his situation, by working a lot more than what he is suposed to do. He thinks that the white man will never recognize his effort at all.
They never had a close conversation to try to figure out how to fix their relationship, they just felt like the other one was the one who was annoying. They just acted according to what they thought that was correct according to their lifestyles, and they expected the other one to respect that... but it actually never happened. Their worlds are just such apart from each other, that basing their relationship in prejudices and egoism, was not such a good idea.
