I just checked this music video by Tinariwen, titled "Iswegh Attay" (subtitled in english)... It is the very first time I listen to something from that african band. Even if I'm writing this while I listen to some EDM, I have to say that it surprised me a lot.
They are some of the rebel ones, the ones who want the change. Their sound is sort of eccentric, fresh and folckloric by the same time, enriched by ancient cultural and social ingredients.
Their music tell us who they are. Where they come from. They want the peace, they don't want to keep living in a world with violence. I believe that the environment is really important to them, since they record the video in open spaces, close to Mother Nature. That how their culture is: soulful and thankful.
Lastly, having a background about their goals and culture is really important to give their videos the importance they deserve. I suggest you to check out some information about this group, in order to have a deeper understanding on their deep culture. Their visuals may seem a little bit confusing without doing so!
I´m glad you did some research on the group. This led you to write an excellent analysis of the culture found in the video!
